Physical Therapy Careers

When you join Stanford Health Care as a physical therapist, we'll look to you for expertise in examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention to improve and advance outcomes in patient care. We also offer tremendous growth potential to physical therapists through our world-renowned centers for pain management, sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery.

Our comprehensive interdisciplinary team in these areas includes 19 faculty members from disciplines such as anesthesia, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, psychology, addiction medicine, acupuncture, and internal medicine. Physical therapists at these locations provide expert care while also assisting in the development of educational materials to help us deliver some of latest in physical therapy treatment programs.

Occupational Therapy Careers

You're invited to consider a rewarding role with our team as an occupational therapist. This dedicated team treats neurologically impaired patients in a multidisciplinary outpatient/inpatient setting, incorporating treatments such as the use of Functional Electrical Devices (FES).

Our occupational therapists are required to have a bachelor's, master’s or doctorate degree in occupational therapy, a California Occupational Therapist (COTA) license, BLS certification, and 2-5 years of experience in an acute care or outpatient setting.

Speech Therapy Careers

Our team of speech language-pathologists is dedicated to providing therapy for patients with communication disorders, including speech, hearing and language problems. Working to help patients improve their communication skills, our team utilizes the latest in augmentative and alternative communications systems.

Our speech therapists are required to have a bachelor’s degree from an approved speech-language-pathology curriculum. Experience should include at least 2-5 years of clinical practice as a speech pathologist, a California Speech Language Pathology license (SLP), and BLS certification.
