This position requires a mix of strategic engineering and design along with hands-on, technical work. In this role, you will configure, tune, and troubleshoot enterprise scale systems to achieve optimal application performance, stability and availability. The successful candidate is an IT professional with extensive hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.x, as well as prior with earlier versions of XenApp including 6.5. At the access layer, experience with Citrix Netscaler Gateway/ ADC and Citrix StoreFront is necessary. Citrix Provisioning Services experience is also required since images are maintained with this technology. Experience with VMware VMware vSphere 5.x and 6.x, vCenter is expected. In addition to superb technical skills, the candidate must have a strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
Job Summary The Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation, management, and ongoing support of the VDI. This position supports SHC in this capacity as it relates to applications and desktops hosted on the VDI. This role is also responsible for VDI patching and upgrade execution and testing. Respond to resolve incidents related to VDI in the SHC environment, serving as a source of engineering support.
Assist with the thorough documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of standardized processes around Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
Provide functional expertise on projects and assist with requirement gathering, identification of emerging technologies, and business case development.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Windows Installer (MSI)
Packaging tools such as AdminStudio
VB Script / Powershell
Experience performing the activities above in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac operating systems.
Ability to effectively interact with all internal and external stakeholders involved in desktop systems support, as well as customers at all levels in the organization.
Strong task and time management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong technical expertise on all aspects of end user systems.
