The Reporting Analyst II (Self-Service BI Coordinator) is responsible for the deployment of moderately complex adhoc reporting ("Self Service" or "Power User") solutions to designated Power Users throughout the organization. This individual will work with team members, users, and others to define and execute standard procedures for: in-take requests for Power User privileges, provision approved access, prepare/provide training and documentation enable new Power Users, monitor usage of Power Users for compliance with program conditions in accordance with SHC Compliance requirements, and regularly assess needs for expanded or new Power User solutions through periodic reviews of solutions, conducting Power User meetings, etc. Where necessary, this individual will develop self service solutions using available Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools which may include: SAP BusinessObjects BI Suite (WebIntelligence, Explorer, etc.), Qlik tools (QlikView, QlikSense), and Epic Cogito tools (Caboodle, Slicer/Dicer, etc.).

Essential Functions

Captures, documents, and represents user needs during intake, development and testing of Power User solutions.
Delivers high quality Reporting & BI solutions that enable user functionality with minimal on-going maintenance and a low volume of production incidents (production failures, help desk calls, etc.). Troubleshoots incidents surrounding supported solutions.
Prepares complete, accurate and well written specifications, user training and documentation, and operational procedures.
Prepares clear and concise operating procedures for all processes used to administer the Power User Program and integrates such procedures into the operations of the CBA Team and tools (i.e., ServiceNow).
Conducts effective user training sessions and user group meetings.
Receives and processes requests for Power User access. Onboards, grants access, and trains newly approved Power Users in accordance with clearly documented operational procedures.
Monitors usage of Power User solutions for compliance with SHC Data Use and Data Security policies as well as to identify usage patterns that may indicate the need to enhance or retire solutions.
Understand adhoc reporting solutions and their proper use within a Reporting and Analytics architecture that utilizes real time and batch ETL processes.
Builds effective working relationships with team members, including hospital staff, new users, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: BS/BA in information technology or business-related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two to four years of experience creating reporting solutions using clinical healthcare data.
License/Certification: Prefer certification in at least one Epic Clarity Data Model or equivalent experience reporting from an electronic medical database.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education, or licensure/certification.

History of delivering high quality Reporting & Analytics solutions that meet user requirements with minimal on-going maintenance and a low volume of production incidents (production failures, help desk calls, etc.).
Proficient with best practices and common processes for developing solutions with SHC tools (i.e., SQL Server, Oracle SQL, Crystal Reports, WebIntelligence, Qlikview, QlikSense, etc.) utilized in role.
3+ years experience with SQL in an Oracle and/or SQL Server environment. Very proficient with SQL (joins, multiple joins, subqueries, unions) including DDL for creation of tables, views, materialized views, etc. Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs.
2+ years experience using SAP BusinessObjects WebIntelligence (Universe design) or Qlik tools to create user oriented self-service solutions.
2+ years experience developing reports or conducting analysis of healthcare data, preferably healthcare provider data from an EMR system (i.e., Epic).
Development and deployment of adhoc, self-service user interfaces (WebI reports, Explorer, Qlik apps, etc.) and metadata (BusinessObjects universe) with SHC standard tools.
Presentation of ideas, new concepts, and training to peers and users to inspire adoption of new methods and solutions. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts, including: data modeling, ETL processes, error handling, job control, logging, alerting, and scheduling.
History of operating effectively with minimal supervision while providing clear regular status reporting to supervisor.
Accountable interaction up to Tier 4 levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability for planning and completing moderately complex projects and/or multiple assigned projects. This includes proficiency with basic project management concepts and tools.
Understands SHC's vision and communicates it to others. Appropriately questions how their assigned work relates and supports this vision.
Mastered one clinical healthcare domain and learning others.
Ability to anticipate design or technical problems and suggest viable alternatives.
Ability to partner with multidisciplinary teams with limited supervision.

Understanding of, and ability to apply, Lean methods and utilizes A3 methods for problem definition and solving.
Makes reliable operational internal decisions with limited supervision.
Troubleshoots incidents and enhancement requests surrounding supported applications. Recommends improvements to supported applications.
